On Janaury 16, 2008 the Haslett Public Schools sponsored a workshop with our auditing firm of Maner, Costerisan & Ellis to discuss the topic of fundraising and tax-exempt status. The workshop was designed to help groups determine whether their organization is subject to certain reporting requirements set forth by the Internal Revenue Service. The workshop also discussed how groups can better safeguard their assets through internal control procedures. Handouts and information from this workshop are now available for you to download.
